Welcome to Town and Country
A church on Marconi Avenue, and a place at the table.
We’re a historic Lutheran community that’s committed to gifts God has given us in His Church, and witnessing of Jesus Christ to our community. We follow the historic teachings of the orthodox Christian Church as they are confessed by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod — which is a formal way of saying that what you’ll hear here on Sunday is what the Church has been saying since the Apostles.
If you’ve never been to a liturgical service before, it can look like a lot of standing and sitting at first. Don’t worry about it. Sunday morning everything is printed in the bulletin, and nobody is keeping score.

Since 1949
Three addresses, one congregation.
Town and Country has been in Sacramento since 1949 — first on Del Paso Boulevard, then at Fulton and Marconi, and since 1968 in the sanctuary that still stands at Marconi and Norris. A Christian day school served grades K–8 here from 1959 to 2017, and the Friendship Center opened in 2005 with a kitchen, sports courts, a stage and classrooms.
